She was predeceased by: her parents, Maria Velez and Andres Velez. She is survived by: her husband Jose I. Alicea; and her children, Dixon, Emma, Daisy, Marguerite, Frederick (Ellen) and Barbara (Hirodel). She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Alvarez Funeral Home Inc. (240 Mt Prospect Ave, Newark, NJ 07104). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael's Church (172 Broadway, Newark, NJ 07104).
