She was predeceased by: her parents, Monserrate Padilla and Justina Zapata. She is survived by: her children, Jose A. Cruz, Victor A. Cruz (Neida) and Maria A. Rosa; her grandchildren, Alex Hernandez, Leslie McGlown, Michelle Cruz, Kevin Cruz, Natalya Cruz-Teixeira, Jacob Rosa, Amilcar Rosa, Claudia Cruz, Jessica Cruz, Diana Rosa, Victor Cruz Jr., Adrian Cruz and Issac Cruz; and her siblings, Josefa Padilla, Ramon Padilla and Sara Padilla. She is also survived by 29 great-grandchildren, and a great-great grandson.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Alvarez Funeral Home Inc. (240 Mt Prospect Ave, Newark, NJ 07104). Viewing was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Alvarez Funeral Home (240 Mt Prospect Ave, Newark, NJ 07104). A Mass was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Good Councel Parish (640 Summer Ave, Newark, NJ 07104).
