He is survived by: his wife Maria Generosa Pereira; his children, Rosa Monteiro Amorim (Jose), Horacio Monteiro (Myrna), Rafael Monteiro (Jaylene) and Victor Monteiro; his siblings, Laurinda Monteiro, Filomena Valente, Antonio Monteiro, Alzira Valente, Agostinho Monteiro, Horacio Monteiro, Arnaldo Monteiro (France) and Maria Monteiro (Brazil); and his grandchildren, Jenna Amorim, Daniel Amorim, Samantha Monteiro, Mia Monteiro and Eric Monteiro. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Buyus Funeral Home (426 Lafayette St, Newark, NJ 07105). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Fatima Church (82 Congress St, Newark, NJ 07105).
