It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Marvin Lewis. John Marvin Lewis, 59, made his transition on Aug. 25, 2018. Born in Augusta, Ga., he was a longtime resident of Newark, New Jersey. A celebration of his life will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Whigham Funeral Home, 580 Dr. Martin L. King Jr. Blvd., Newark. Interment is at Evergreen Cemetery, Hillside, N.J. Visitation is Friday at 10:a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Mr. Lewis was the beloved son of the late
Frank Lewis Sr. and Bessie Lee Dutton-Lewis. He is survived by his loving siblings Frank, Rudolph and Eloise Lewis, Dorothy Lewis-Hawkins, Dennis, Bruce, Gary and Timothy Dutton. He was the cherished uncle of Carlton and Lorraine Lewis, Tamesha and Charlese Hawkins, great uncle of Chaemiah Parker, Desiree Lewis and Kaylen Davenport.
