She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Richard and Elizabeth Richard; her husband Charles Wessie; her daughter Elizabeth Clarita; her parents-in-law, Thelma and Hubert Frank McCargo of Jehovah's Witness; and her aunts, Betty Lou Brown (Robert), Lovie Vereen and Gladiola Powell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Decanda Michelle and Chandele Marie Tunnell (Keith); her grandchildren, Taurean Ogunnaike (Jovanna), Charisma Chandler (Lamon), Terry Cheeks, Jr. and Wayne Dumas, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Lylah, Raegan, Chandler, Peyton and Tyson; her siblings, Jurleen Richard, Alberta George (Terrence) and Walter "Sunny Boy" Richard Jr.; and her sons-in-law, Keith Tunnell and Emmanuel "Keji" Ogunnaike. She is also survived by her daughters, siblings, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, close friends, and neighbors.
