She was predeceased by: her parents, Erosker Mitchell and Collier Mitchell of Florida; her husband Johnnie Peterson; and her siblings, Mr Quilliam Davis Mitchell and Aline Mitchell.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Barbara, Irene and Charles; her siblings, May Lillie Willlams of Valdosta, GA, Ossie M. Howell (Julian) of Live Oak, FL, Margie Armstrong of Belleville, FL., Leon (Willie Jean) and Alfonso (Magalene); and her uncle Autmon Mitchell of Orlando, FL. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, and other sorrowing friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Eric A. Brown & Son Funeral Home (1221 3rd St NW, Jasper, FL 32052). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church (2944 NW 5th St, Jennings, FL 32053).
