With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Brenda Hayes (Newark, New Jersey), born in Shannon, North Carolina, who passed away on February 17, 2025 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, LouEllen and Henry; her stepmother Doris; her aunts, Doretha and Jackie; her uncle Joe; and her cousin Irving.
She is survived by: her uncle Clinton; her aunt Yvonne; and her cousins, Kevin, Sharon (Peaches), Valdear, Kelly, James, Danielle, Tabitha, Carly, Linnon and Eddie. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cotton Funeral Service (1025 Bergen St, Newark, NJ 07112). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
