She was predeceased by: her spouse George Cushman, Jr.. She is survived by: her parent Stephen Thurber; her children, Shannon Leigh Coombs Buffa (Mark) of Alpharetta, GA and Jeffrey Raymond Coombs (Jennifer) of Temecula, CA.; her mother Laura Forsyth of Munhall, PA; her grandchildren, Christian, Dylan, Jennifer, Jeremy, Levi, Paige, Sabrina and Tanner; her siblings, Judith A. Thurber of Liverpool, NY and Peter Thurber (Kelly) of Oneida, NY; and her stepson Milford B. Cushman of Stowe, VT..

In lieu of flowers, donations in Meredith's memory may be made to the Presbyterian Church at New Providence, 1307 Springfield Ave, New Providence, NJ 07974.

“Dear shannon and jeff and grandchildren, i am sending you love and condolences, on this your mom's birthday, or at least it was when i wrote the other message, which i apparently lost because i didn't know how to upload it. I tried to find it, but his go-round i found this one with a flower. But at least i see a send box. I don't even have a copy of what i was trying to write. But before i lose this too, i want to tell you that i have a bunch of old photo albums that include visits my husband”
