It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Shelley Fox Sr. of New Providence, New Jersey, who passed away on December 30, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Spencer Fox, Sr. and Margaret Shelley Fox; his wife Joan Page Fox; his former wife Jean Grosso Fox; his brothers, Herbert Fox, Jr. (Odette), Richard Fox and Robert Fox; and his daughter-in-law Cynthia Willard Fox.

He is survived by: his children, John Shelley Fox, Jr. (Sue), Kenneth Page Fox, Brian Matthew Fox (Kay) and Joann Fox Grassano (Chris); his close friend Emily Gennetti; his grandchildren, Craig Fox (Jennie), Nicole Fox Xayvong (Santhanai), Matthew Fox (Michelle), Shelley Fox Ard (Albert), Janna Palmer-Grassano, Cara Grassano Zimnik (Kyle) and Krista Fox Grassano; his sister Dale Crisafulli; his sister-in-law Eileen Fox; and his great grandchildren, Owen Fox Xayvong, Aubrey Ard, Julie Ard, Ian Fox, Elijah Palmer, Ezra Palmer and Seraphina Palmer. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of John Fox to the New Jersey State Policemen's Benevolent Association, New Providence PBA Local # 132 (360 Elkwood Ave, New Providence, NJ 07974).

“To the family of Mr. Fox, I met your dad in November 1971, he hired me to work for him in the Reece Corp. He was a wonderful boss, he was a family man who spoke highly of his wife and small children. He had a great smile and a hearty laugh. May he rest in peace. My husband and I both worked for him, last year December 2020 I looked up his name and we talked for an hour and did facetime, he looked healthy and full of good spirits, my husband and I will never forget Mr. John Fox”
