He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Hemphill and Lila Hemphill; his wife Phyllis Hemphill; his granddaughter Sarah Weakly; and his brother Marley Hemphill.
He is survived by: his children, James Hemphill (Charlotte) of Townville, SC, Tom Quasey (Shelly) of Pittsburgh, PA, Kimberly Hemphill of Browns Mills, Tammy Harper of New Egypt and Teresa Hemphill-Hopkins (Tom) of Las Vegas, NV; and his daughter-in-law Cindy Hemphill of Old Bridge. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
