It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert L. Schafer Sr. (New Egypt, New Jersey), who passed away on March 8, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Doris Schafer (Hite); his wife Judy Schafer (Taylor); and his siblings, Leona Hixenbaugh and James Schafer. He is survived by: his son Robert Schafer, Jr. (Georginie) of New Egypt; his grandchildren, Karen Sonderman (Jeffrey) of Jackson, Crystal Schafer of Lakewood, Sarah Purcell, David Purcell, Danelle Fox, Christine Sonderman and Jeffrey Sonderman Jr.; and his sisters, Carol Goff of Whiting, Darlene Orts (Glen) of Browns Mills, Patricia Papai of Wrightstown and Mary Schafer of New Egypt. He is also survived by his five great-grandchildren.
