She was predeceased by: her husband A. Bruce Chashin; her parents, Morris Elfant and Anne Elfant (Kerr); and her sister Marcia Bronfman. She is survived by: her daughters, Ellen Marcus (Jeffrey) and Mindy Ashe; her grandchildren, Jordan (Amanda), Ashley, Bailey and Logan; and her brother Mark Elfant. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
