He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Sheran Callahan Tiersch; his children, Sharyn Tiersch (Tara MacDonald), Terrence Tiersch (Jill), Patrick Tiersch, Matthew Tiersch (Cathleen) and Sheryl Mahnken (Michael); and his sister Anne O'Hara. He was also cherished by 8 grandchildren, 1 great -grandchild and a loving extended family.
