He is survived by: his sons, Sidney Byrd, III (Bridget) of South River and Richard Anthony Byrd (Azure) of Somerset; his siblings, Joseph Byrd (Sheila) of Ewing, Jerome Johnson of Plainfield, Samuel Johnson (Julie) of Allentown, PA and Linda Warwick of Franklin Park; his grandchildren, Daryl Sidney (Christina), Jasmyn, Cyrus, William and Jessica Riley; and his great grandchildren, Kayden Sidney and Shania. He is also survived by other relatives and many close friends.
