With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John J. Gappa Sr. in New Brunswick, New Jersey, born in Brooklyn, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Gappa; his children, John J. Gappa Jr. (Christine), Steven Gappa (Lisa), Jason Gappa (Sylvia), Carolyn Gappa (George) and Marissa Modzelewski (Edward); and his grandchildren, Jack, Mollie, Emily, Brendan, Kathyrn, Mary, Makaela, John, Maisie, Maira, Grace and Nolan.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Augustine of Canterbury Church (45 Henderson Rd, Kendall Park, NJ 08824). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the same location.
