Ioannis G. Kanterakis Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ioannis G. Kanterakis of New Brunswick, New Jersey, who passed away on January 23, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Ourania Kanterakis (Plias); his parents, George Kanterakis and Eirini Kanterakis; and his brother Michael Kanterakis. He is survived by: his daughter Irene; his son-in-law Michael Minetti of Hillsborough; his siblings, Emmanuel of North Brunswick, Chrysostomos of Greece, Spyridon of Greece and Eleni Grillakis of Greece; and his grandchildren, Jack and Emily. He is also survived by many cousins, nephews & nieces.
Donations are preferable in lieu of flowers and can be made to Steps Together, a Hillsborough based 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to inspiring our community to pay their blessings forward and support Somerset County families facing a medical crisis.
