She was predeceased by: her father Earl Eugene Kinsey Sr.; her former husband David Whitten Sr. of New Brunswick, NJ; her siblings, Dr. Halice Beckett, Earl Eugene Kinsey Jr., Lyman Reddrick Kinsey, Gaylord Lamont Kinsey, Millicent Dollie Kinsey, Hilda Jean Kinsey, Andre Eldon Kinsey and Althea Okiya Kinsey; and her aunt Katherine Upshaw Bradley.
She is survived by: her mother Waltertina Kinsey; her siblings, Rachel of Somerset, Allison Kinsey of North Brunswick, Vernon of Piscataway and Ernest Kinsey; her children, Alesia Randall (Michael) of Burlington, NJ, David Whitten Jr. of California, Penny of Plainfield, NJ, Andrew of Newark, NJ, Larry (Muhammad) of Newark, NJ, Wayne of Newark, NJ and Denise of Somerset, NJ.; her cousin James Howard Powell; and her close friend George Wilkins. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins, eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
