She was predeceased by: her parents, Arbella Truss Scott and Sam Scott; and her brother Johnale Scott. She is survived by: her daughter Margaret Veasy-Mendoza; her son-in-law Sylvester Mendoza; her grandchildren, Alexis, Gabe, Colin and NJ; her sister Othea Scott; and her goddaughters, Vernell Lewis and Valerie Weatherspoon.
