He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Shorter and Thomasina Shorter. He is survived by: his wife Martha Shorter (Stewart); his sisters, Bernice Beckford (Shorter) and Madeline Shorter-Hall (Darryl) of Florida; his children, Anthony Shorter of Neptune, NJ and Sherri Shorter-Murchison (Charles) of Neptune, NJ; his grandson Steven Anthony; and his great grandchildren, Justin Anthony and Shania Anthony. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
