He was predeceased by: his mother Pamela Markland. He is survived by: his father Samuel Markland of Indiana; his daughters, Jessika Rae of Belmar and Rebecka Lee Markland of Belmar; and his siblings, Tonya Naugle of Indiana, Lara Markland of Indiana and Toby Markland of North Carolina. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
