We bid farewell to Barbara Scales of Neptune, New Jersey, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 6, 2025 at the age of 71. Barbara touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parent Elizabeth Johnson (Scales); and her siblings, Gloria Little, Patricia Scales, David Smith and Barry Scales.
She is survived by: her children, Carla Boyd, Robert Johnson, Tara Matthews (Jonathan), Rasheen Mathis (Shatorrie) and Jared Mathis (Breanna); and her siblings, Jeffrey Johnson, Sean Johnson, Eric Potter, Cheryl Strickland, Mary Johnson and Yolande Johnson. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Day Lawson Funeral Home & Cremation Services (243 Broadway, Long Branch, NJ 07740).
