He was predeceased by: his parents, George McCray Sr. and Hazel McCray; his siblings, Celia McCray Foreman and Nathan McCray; and his wife Patricia McCray.

He is survived by: his sister Suella Smith; his daughters, Andrea Williams (Timothy) and Donna McCray; his grandchildren, Monet Coleman (Tyshon), Janee Bowens, Christina George (Shakoor), Jayonna Summers, Jayvon Summers and Jaymee Summers; and his great grandchildren, Arianna, Jose Jr., Yamille and Nia. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
