He is survived by: his children, Amie Williams of Atlanta, GA, Fred N Oates, Jr. of Neptune, NJ, Derek B Oates of Glenn Burnie, MD, Edwin C Oates of Glenn Burnie, MD, Charles I Oates (Shellie) of Neptune, NJ and Duane W Oates (Gail) of Greenbelt, MD; and his siblings, Willie Peterson (Jackie), Jamil AlRazi and Cassandra Roberts. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and close friends.
