He was predeceased by: his son Daniel James Britton; his sister Loretta Britton; and his son-in-law William L. Maurer. He is survived by: his wife Barbara L; his children, Deborah Maurer and Philip J. Jr. (Justine); his grandchildren, Nathan, Zachary, Jacob Maurer, Autumn, Zane, Carissa, Chloe and Cayden Britton; and his half-sister Naomi Bristol.
