He was predeceased by: his wife Doris I. Borden; his daughter Carol A. Borden; and his sister Frances Attewell. He is survived by: his children, Charles T. Borden, Steve M. Borden (Sue) and Carla A. Patterson (Andrew); and his siblings, Ruth A. Schultz, Nancy Monroe, Catherine Netter and Franklin W. Borden. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Providence Orthodox Presbyterian Church 230 Shadow Place, Mantua Township, NJ 08051.
