He is survived by: his parents, Patrick Laffan and Margaret "Greta" Laffan; his wife Winifred "Winnie" McKnight Laffan; his children, Carolyn Laffan Miller (John), Colleen Laffan, Jeanette Laffan Aiello (Scott) and Patrick Laffan (Susan); his grandchildren, Liam Laffan, Quinn Laffan, Conor Aiello, Claire Laffan and Jillian Aiello; his siblings, Mary Fitzpatrick, Joseph Noel Laffan, Margaret Nolan, Catherine Lenihan and Michael Laffan; and also Coghlan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
