He is survived by: his parent Hedwig Scherer; his son Painting; his wife Barbara; his daughters, Denise Sweeney (Terence) of Chatham and Debora O'Keefe (John) of Whitehouse Station; his sister Anna Ganly of Basking Ridge; and his grandchildren, Caitlin, Colleen, Patrick, Meghan Sweeney, Ryan and Bradford O'Keefe.
