We are sad to announce that on January 11, 2025, at the age of 71, Janet S. Dougherty of Mount Laurel, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Janet has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Scattergood and Grace Scattergood; and her brothers, William and Thomas W. Scattergood. She is survived by: her husband Dennis G. Dougherty; her children, Megan Savage (Jason) and Michael Dougherty; her brother James Scattergood (Barbara Alloway); and her grandchildren, Nathan and Claire Savage.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mount Laurel Home For Funerals (212 Ark Rd, Mt Laurel Township, NJ 08054). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Lakeview Memorial Park (1300 US-130, Cinnaminson, NJ 08077).
