He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Sand; and his parents, Alexander Sand and Edith Georgina Sand (Herzfeld). He is survived by: his children, Gila, Jordan and Michael Sand; his stepsons, Robert R. Hvisdas and James M. Hvisdas (Joanne); his daughter-in-law Donna Hvisdas; his brother Peter Sand; his grandchildren, Sean, Christopher and Ryan Hvisdas; and his great grandchildren, Juliana, Lucas and Patrick Hvisdas. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
