He was predeceased by: his parents, Vasilios Stefanou and Magdalini Stefanou; and his siblings, Anthony Lazos and Vassilliki Katsioras. He is survived by: his wife Katy Stefanou; his children, Bill, Nick, John and Malinda (Paris); his grandchildren, Evangelos, Nicoletta, Demitrios, Analisa, Vasilios, Gianna, Alanna, Odysseas, Alexandros and Iasonas; and his cousin America. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
