It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elmer Roy of Mount Laurel, New Jersey, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on July 1, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolphus Roy Jr. and Willa Roy (Lyles); and his brother John Turner Brown. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his children, Rosaline, Kenneth and Lesley; his sister Llena Henderson (Roy); his grandchildren, Trey, Justin, Lauren, Natalie, Nicolas and Jaden; and his great grandchildren, Jaiden and Prime. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Elmer's name may be made to the The Philadelphia Orchestra or the American Diabetes Association A celebration of Elmer's life will be held on Saturday, July 10 at Mount Laurel Home for Funerals (212 Ark Road Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054).
