He was predeceased by: his siblings-in-law, Connie Michael and George Gerner. He is survived by: his wife Rosemary; his son Richard Rys; his brother Paul J. Rys (Cathy Jo); his siblings-in-law, Elizabeth Lupsa, Diane Creighton, Theresa Pollanger, John Gerner and Louis Gerner; and his aunt Rose Ward.
