She is survived by: her husband John Frederick Ahrens; her children, Elizabeth Ahrens Whann (Todd), David John Ahrens (Marianne) and Steven Forbes Ahrens (Kara); her grandchildren, Sean David Ahrens, Riley Patricia Ahrens and Robert Patterson Whann; and her sister Barbara Heermance (Clyde).
