He was predeceased by: his parents, David Lee and Annie Short; and his brothers, Gerald, David and Charles Short.
He is survived by: his son Zach, Jr. (Tyson); his daughter-in-law Nicole; his children, Zachary Tyson Short, Jr. (Nicole), Joshira Short and Jennifer Short; his granddaughter Sophia Short; and his sister Ann Darlene Johnson (Ronald). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
