He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Stanley Freeman Gardner and Mary Stella; his grandparents, Rufus and Phoebe Gardner; his brother Michael McComiskey; his wife Celene Gardner; his daughters, Kim M. Pope (John) of Plumstead, PA., Celene Luscher (Gary) of Hawthorne, NJ and Noelle M. Gardner of Sherman Oaks, CA; his son-in-law Robert Whitehead (Kathryn) of Hopatcong, NJ; his siblings, Joel Gardner of Montville, ME and Anita Rickman of Dunbarton, NH; his half-sisters, Lynn Warman of Maine, Fern Ward of Maine, Lori Gardner of Maine and Stacey Veneable of Pennsylvania; and his grandchildren, Brianne Fricke (Scott), Trevor Gardner Pope (Andrea), Kyle Pope (Ashley), Kevin Pope (Jeanette), Robert Whitehead (Jacki), Daniel Whitehead (Christine) and Kianna Noel Luscher. He was also cherished by eight great-grandchildren.
