He is survived by: his parents, Robert and Carolyn Cooney (Washburn); his sisters, Debra Taliaferro (Douglas), Kathleen Cooney and Maureen McCormack (James); his nieces and nephews, Erica, Danny, Brendan, Cullen and Owen; and also Laura Zuzola Cooney. He is also survived by extended family that includes many childhood friends.
In lieu of flowers Pete's family will appreciate donations in his memory be sent to the New Jersey Firemen's Home, 565 Lathrop Avenue, Boonton, N.J. 07005.
