With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Plunkett Bentzlin of Morristown, New Jersey, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on January 14, 2022 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kathryn Wallace and Nathaniel John Plunkett; her husband Bertil; her aunt Mary Halperin; and her sister Margaret Ruehle.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Bentzlin (Karl), Anne Bentzlin-Smith (Richard), Amy Serillo (Doug), Brian Bentzlin (Kelly), Kate Bentzlin Miller (Rich) and Kerry Bentzlin Begley (Gerard); her grandchildren, Tracy Warning, Chris Bentzlin (Ryan), Ryan Bentzlin, Ashley Robinson (Patrick), Justin Serillo (Kelly), Chelsea Serillo (Brian), Carl Bentzlin, Alexandra Bentzlin (Luke), Emily Miller (Kyle), Joshua Miller, Brian, Linnea and Annika Begley; her great grandchildren, Layton, Anders Bentzlin, Conrad, Pippa Robinson, Abby, Cole Serillo, Orion and Loki Chamberillo; her sister Kathleen Brey; her sister-in-law Betty Hesse; and her cousin Marianne Halperin. She is also survived by seventeen nieces and nephews, and her beloved colleagues, friends.
