Broome Jr. (Morristown, New Jersey), born in Winnsboro, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 12, 2024 at the age of 84. He is survived by: his wife Bessie; his children, Chappelle Broome-Stevenson (Gwen), James L. Broome III, Timothy S. Broome, Cheriyce Byrd, Allex Elam and Lynette E. Davis; and his sister Joanna Broome. He is also survived by his 20 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
