He is survived by: his wife Mary Philips; his children, Frederic Philips (Kim) of Dover, NJ, Eric Philips (Schnika) of Glen Allen, VA and Angela Freeman (Garrett) of Greensboro, NC.; his siblings, Margie Phillips Moncrieffe of Dallas, TX and Thurman Phillips of Newark, NJ.; his grandchildren, Gerard Freeman (Shalinda), Garrett Freeman, Jr., Gequan Freeman, Ashanta Campbell (Tyler), Jazmen Philips (Michael), Jordan Philips, Faith Philips, Evan Philips and Sky Philips; and his great grandchildren, Gerard Freeman II and Titan Campbell.
