He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe H. Lawrence Sr. and Mary E. (Roberts); his sons, Bruce and Donald; and his siblings, Joe Lawrence Jr., Calvin Lawrence, John, Dirt, Lorraine Grant and Geneva Owens.
He is survived by: his wife Lois A. (Newsome) of Denville, NJ; and his children, Ronald "Skinny" Lawrence, Arthur W. Lawrence Jr., Melissa Lawrence, Taleeya N. Lawrence and Na'Zyia S. Honour. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
