Michael Cattano Obituary
Michael Cattano, age 58, passed away suddenly Friday, February 22, 2019.
He was born February 15, 1961 in Denville, NJ, and was a lifetime resident of Morris Plains, NJ. He was a member of the graduating class of 1979 at Morristown High School. Michael worked as a painter, co-owning Cattano Painting and Wall Covering. He was a member of District Council 10, Local Painters Union 307 for 29 years. Michael was a longtime member of St. Virgil's Church and he was a past member of Morristown Columbian Club. Michael coached both his children in Little League baseball, softball, and basketball. He enjoyed camping, cycling, the beach, fine wine, and especially spending time with his family and friends.
Michael will be lovingly remembered by his entire family. He is the son of Sue Ann Cattano and the late Charles Cattano. He is also the stepson of Bonnie Cattano. Survivors include, from his previous marriage to Jennifer Leal, his children Samantha and Michael. Also preceded in death is his infant son, Jonathan. Michael, also known as “Poppy,” is survived by his grandson, Jordan Michael. Survivors also include his siblings Michaella (Richard), Charles (Lesley), Peter (Susan), Danny (Kelly), Elissa (Bill), Vincent (Maria), Louis (Christie), Andew, John Paul, and loving girlfriend Carol Thompson and her sons; Corey and Trevor, Cherished uncle to Andy, Daniel, Katherine, Lauren, Christopher, Chelsea, Megan, Emily, Crista, Molly, Matthew, Sarah, Victoria, Lyndsey, Tyler, Jhazmyne, Kiera, Katrina, Shane, Ian, Devin, and Aiden. Great Uncle to Amelia, Charlotte, and Emma.
