With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Stephen Szobota of Morris Plains, New Jersey, born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, who passed away on November 18, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Veronica Szobota (Lovas) and John Szobota. He is survived by: his wife Lola Szobota (Mencarelli); his children, Jennifer Szobota of Easton, PA, Melissa Muszala (Stefan) of Boulder, CO and Jason Szobota (Karen) of Henrico, VA; his grandchildren, Nathan Szobota, Eve Marie Muszala and Ryan Szobota; his brother Stephen Szobota; his brother-in-law Robert Mencarelli (Cynthia); his nephews, Nicholas Szobota, Erik Szobota (Melissa), Daniel and David Mencarelli; his niece Joanne Conforte (Peter); his cousins, Gail, Carl Melkus, Suzanne, Eric D'Eramo, Michael, Christine D'Eramo and Stephanie Szobota; and his nieces and nephews, Stephanie, Jillian, Caitlin, Lauren and Ian.
