He was predeceased by: his parents, William Z. Shanaman and Claire Shanaman (Steber). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Hopkins Shanaman; and his children, John Michael Shanaman (Karen Saville) and Anne Hopkins Shanaman (Scott Henry). He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
