He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Bernthal and Agnes Bernthal (Neuchterlein); and his siblings, Arnold (Doris), Wilmar (Lorna), Edward (Berniece), Herbert Bernthal (Frances) and Lucy Conzelmann (Fred).
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Bickel; his children, Susan Bernthal, Douglas Bernthal and Amy Yoder (Thomas); his grandchildren, Ashley Bernthal (Zach Johnson), James Hopkin, Leland Yoder and Ruby Yoder; and his great grandchild Payton Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frederick's name to Heifer International or the charity of your choice.
