He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Armstrong and Rose Armstrong; his wife June Armstrong; and his siblings, Joseph Armstrong, May Campbell, Margaret Getty and Evelyn Stirling.
He is survived by: his children, Shelley Stricker (Edward), James Mark Armstrong M. D. (Sarah), Laura Armstrong Leder and Scott Armstrong (Ellen); and his grandchildren, Erik Stricker, Paige Owen, William Armstrong, Hannah Armstrong, Caroline Armstrong, Alexander Leder, Katherine Leder, Drew Armstrong, Quinn Armstrong and Sawyer Armstrong.
