He was predeceased by: his parents, John Buis and Doris Buis of Montville; his sister Susan Wachtel; and his nephew Tyler Bielski. He is survived by: his children, Leigh-Ann and Michael Jay; and his sister Robin Bielski. He is also survived by his four grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Michael's memory to the Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter in East Hanover would be appreciated.
