She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Zimmermann and Erna Zimmermann; her daughter Susan Wachtel; her grandson Tyler; and her siblings, Richard Zimmermann and Helen Hess.
She is survived by: her husband John Buis; and her children, Michael Buis and Robin Bielski (Howard). She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
