“One of the first people who made me feel at home when I arrived in the USA was Sandra. The doors of his house were always open to me and the rest of my classmates, visiting professors. I tried her mother's recipes, made cookies with her grandchildren, painted Easter eggs, let me sit in her Margaret Mitchell armchair and she and David took me to see the fires on a 4th of July. She accompanied me on my wedding day... Rest in peace, dear Sandra. Our deep condolences to all the family.”
