He was predeceased by: his parents, Tetsuji Matsumoto and Yoshiko Matsumoto (Hashida); and his sister Iuko Ishida. He is survived by: his wife Kyoko; his children, Akiko and Takeshi; and his grandchildren, Akira and Alex.

Memorial contributions can be made in Mitsuhiro's name to the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of Englewood.
