It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eugene A Papay of Montvale, New Jersey, born in Hoboken, New Jersey, who passed away on May 22, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. “I attended several of Eugene's "Joy of Singing" classes as well as private lessons at his home. He taught me a lot. We'd sometimes go out to the diner together after the lessons where we'd solve worldly problems while we ate afternoon breakfast. I experienced Eugene as a true gentle soul, a man of compassion and an inspiring vocal coach. The world sorely needs more like him. I am so sad. I shall miss him. John C. Stephenson”
